Grads from Master’s in Conflict Facilitation and Organizational Change program!
MA in Conflict Facilitation and Organizational Change – A Bridge to the World
Process Work Institute – Portland, Oregon, USA
Many people interested in Process Work ask…how do graduates use the skills they learn? What kind of professional work are graduates doing in the world?
Here are some examples from recent graduates of the Master’s in Conflict Facilitation and Organizational Change program!
- Errol Amerasekera (Organizational Consultant, Australia – MACF 2007) has started a consulting practice called True North Learning. His area of specialisation is Organisational Health, where he and his colleagues work with a wide range of organisations and their leaders to support them to deliver short-term performance whilst at the same time addressing the organisation’s challenges around long-term viability. He was recently contracted by the Australian Olympic swim team to work with them in the areas of leadership development and building a high performance culture (see article at www.couriermail.com.au/sport/ironman-trevor-hendy-to-oversee-leadership-changes-to-swimming-australia/story-fnduczvk-1226620189681). Visit www.truenorthlearning.com.au and www.thirdeyelearning.com.au for more information.
- Cathy Bernatt (Leadership and Organizational Development Consultant, Japan – MACF 2009) is President of “Creating…” whose vision is realizing unlimited potential in people and organizations. Cathy applies Process Work with people inside a diverse range of organizations (corporate, educational, NGO’s) throughout Japan, Asia Pacific and North America. Her main aim in her work is to help inject humanity back into systems that by virtue of being systems manifest signs of inhumanity over time. Visit www.creating.bz for more information.
- Rebecca Lang (OD Manager, Australia – MACF 2012) is the manager of learning and organisational development in Primary Industries and Regions South Australia, a State Government department in Adelaide, Australia. Her research project used Process Work facilitation and conflict approaches to establish a stakeholder engagement strategy with the recreational fishing sector in South Australia (SA), including policy and regulatory managers and officers from the Fisheries Department in SA. The relationship between government and key stakeholders went from being adversarial and destructive to constructive and enduring. Working with Process Work concepts and tools was critical to this success and has opened up exciting opportunities in the community sector as well. There is so much more I could write about my confidence and skills having undertaken the MACF – it is such a fantastic program!
- Tish Robinson (Professor, Hitotsubashi University, Japan – MACF 2009) is running group processes with Keiko Suzuki and Ginger Griggs in her university’s MBA Program, as well as between foreigners and Japanese in major Japanese companies, and between headquarters and subsidiary leaders in major multinational companies around Asia.
- Art Shirk, Ed.D (Consultant and Executive Coach, Boston, MA, USA – MACF 2013) is using conflict facilitation skills in leadership development projects with individuals, and groups in the US and Spain, and as a director of The Leadership Circle – Latin America based in Bogotá Colombia. His primary focus at the moment is in designing strategies to catalyze transformative leadership change in individuals and organizations throughout Latin America – particularly Colombia, Peru, Panama, and Ecuador. - Sonia Sinisterra (CHI & TLC Latin America Partner, Colombia – MACF 2013) has been taking some powerful steps around national conflict work in Colombia and has integrated process work in organizational change and development projects. Visit www.chi.com.co and www.tlc.com for more information.
