Me, You and the World: The Longing for Belonging. An international Processwork intensive with Dipl. PW Aleksandr Peikrishvili

An international Processwork intensive surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains and the Black Sea, where we will gather to explore one of the most fundamental human experiences: our longing to belong.
Who am I? Where is my place in the world? What connects me to other people, communities, cultures, and traditions? And what happens when the familiar foundations of our identity begin to change?
Our sense of belonging is deeply connected to our relationships, families, communities, cultures, identities, and beliefs. Yet the world around us is constantly changing, sometimes challenging the very foundations of who we believe ourselves to be.
Experiences of exclusion, rejection, loneliness, or being different can be painful. At the same time, they may contain unexpected gifts, new perspectives, and opportunities to discover aspects of ourselves that have remained hidden.
This intensive invites participants to explore belonging not only as a personal experience but also as a collective process unfolding within relationships, groups, and the wider world.
The programme includes:
An opening day with the “Dream Doors” practice and an opportunity to get acquainted.
A three-day Processwork seminar with Aleksandr Peikrishvili exploring belonging, identity, connection, and the experience of being an outsider.
A supervision day, integration activities, and creative workshops.
Time for informal connection, farewell, and departure.
スケジュール
June 9 — “Dream Doors” Practice and Getting Acquainted
An opportunity for participants to meet, connect, and begin exploring their experiences through the “Dream Doors” practice.
June 10–12 — Seminar “Me, You and the World: The Longing for Belonging”
Facilitator: Dipl. PW Aleksandr Peikrishvili (USA)
Family life, cultural identities and beliefs, technological developments, politics, wars, climate change, pandemics, and immigration can all intensify our questions and experiences around belonging.
Together, we will explore:
– What do we belong to?
– What defines our sense of self?
– Where is our place — in our family, country, culture, religion, relationships, or community?
– What happens when our familiar understanding of ourselves and our place in the world begins to change?
Such changes may invite us to reconsider our beliefs and search for new answers to fundamental questions about identity, meaning, and belonging.
For some, these experiences may become an opportunity to develop greater inner confidence and a clearer understanding of what they believe in, even as the world around them continues to change.
June 13 — Supervision Day, Integration and Creative Workshops
A day dedicated to supervision, integrating the seminar experience, and participating in creative workshops.
June 14 — Informal Gathering, Farewell and Departure
Time for connecting with fellow participants, saying goodbye, and departing.
Content and approach;
This is not therapy in the classical sense, but a living experiential research group in which each participant can move at their own pace and have an opportunity to be seen and heard.
We will draw on key elements of Processwork:
– Working with roles and subpersonalities: Exploring inner figures such as the Insider (the One Who Belongs) and the Outsider.
– Imagery and dreamwork: Discovering how experiences that cannot easily be expressed in words may reveal themselves through images and dreams.
– Field awareness: Recognizing the subtle connections between individuals and the larger collective field.
– Body signals: Paying attention to micro-movements, somatic experiences, breathing, and nonverbal communication.
– Edgework: Exploring the boundaries where personal history may become a field of transformation.
Seminar topics
During the seminar, we will:
– Explore the different ways in which we experience belonging.
– Connect with experiences of feeling like outsiders, strangers, or unwelcome guests.
– Investigate moments when we were rejected, excluded, or perceived as different.
– Explore our deep longing to be part of something larger, to connect with others, and to feel that we have a place in the world.
– Discover the potential gifts hidden within experiences of not belonging.
– Consider how being an outsider may help us recognize and develop qualities that might otherwise remain unnoticed.
We will create a space for genuine encounters and dialogue, for connecting with deeper aspects of our nature, and for mutual support.
This seminar is an invitation not only to explore belonging as a theme, but also to experience community and authentic connection, to meet ourselves and others more deeply, and to reflect on the gifts we wish to bring into the world.
